Work With Us

1. Which application form should I complete?

Please choose the form that best matches the role you’re interested in:

Learning Assistant / Learning Coach Form
For individuals who want to support students with accountability, motivation, organisation, supervision, and day-to-day learning support. This is not a traditional teaching role.

Tutor Form
For qualified educators, subject specialists, or individuals confident in teaching academic content directly to students.

Admin & Other Office Roles Form
For applicants interested in operations, administration, customer service, marketing, reception, or behind-the-scenes support roles.

If you’re unsure which form fits you best, choose the one that aligns most closely with your strongest skill set.

2. What is the difference between a Learning Assistant and a Tutor?

A Learning Assistant / Learning Coach helps students:

  • Stay on task
  • Follow schedules
  • Complete assigned work
  • Build confidence
  • Stay organised
  • Receive encouragement and accountability

They are not always responsible for teaching subject content.

A Tutor teaches academic concepts directly and may assist with:

  • Subject explanations
  • Exam preparation
  • Assignment support
  • Academic interventions
  • Curriculum-specific teaching

Think of it like this:

Learning Coach = accountability + guidance
Tutor = direct academic teaching

3. Do I need formal teaching qualifications?

Not always.

For tutor roles, qualifications and subject expertise are often preferred depending on the position.

For learning assistant and administrative roles, we may consider applicants with strong experience, communication skills, leadership ability, or relevant practical experience.

We value competence, professionalism, and initiative.

4. Are these positions remote or in-person?

Some roles may involve working with students online through platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.

Other roles may be based in-person depending on operational needs.

Role requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

5. Why do you ask for a video introduction?

Some positions require direct communication with students and families online.

Your short video helps us understand:

  • Your communication style
  • Your confidence on camera
  • Your professionalism
  • Your ability to engage with students virtually

This does not replace an interview.

6. Can I apply for more than one role?

Yes.

If you genuinely believe you’re suited to multiple roles, you may complete more than one application form.

Please only apply for roles you’re seriously interested in.

7. Do you hire university students?

n some cases, yes.

This depends on your availability, maturity, skill level, and the role you’re applying for.

We look for reliability and professionalism.

8. Where is The Learning Studio based?

Some opportunities may involve in-person work, while others may include online responsibilities.
