Learning Options Overview

What learning options do you offer for students?

We offer three main learning options designed to support different learner needs:

  • Daily in-person learning centre in the Kuils River / Kuilsrivier area of Cape Town

  • GED programme for students needing an alternative way to complete high school

  • Online, self-paced courses for academic support at home

Each option serves a different purpose and level of structure.

How do I know which learning option is right for my child?

The right option depends on:

  • Your child’s academic level

  • Their ability to work independently

  • Emotional readiness and motivation

  • Long-term tertiary and career goals

What is the difference between a learning centre, online courses, and GED?

Each option serves a different role:

  • Learning centre: Daily, in-person structure and supervision

  • Online courses: Flexible, self-paced academic support

  • GED: An alternative high school completion pathway

They are not interchangeable and are not meant to solve the same problem.

Is your learning centre a school?

No. We are a learning centre, not a registered school.

Parents remain responsible for curriculum selection and official registration where required. Our role is academic support, structure, and guidance.

Do you follow the CAPS curriculum?

Parents choose and purchase the curriculum they prefer, which may include CAPS or alternative options.

We support students in following their chosen curriculum but do not issue formal reports or assessments.

What ages or grades do you support?

What ages or grades do you support?

We support students across different phases depending on the learning option:

  • Foundation to high school through online courses

  • Senior phase and high school at the learning centre

  • Mature learners through the GED pathway

Suitability is determined individually.

Can students move between learning options?

Yes. Some students transition between learning options as their needs change.

Movement between options is assessed to ensure continuity and readiness.

Is GED an easier or faster option than matric?

No. The GED is not easier, and it is not a shortcut.

It is an alternative pathway that requires academic readiness, discipline, and commitment.
